I am very pleased to have installed my solo exhibition, “Urgent”, at the Bernardsville Public Library in Bernardsville, New Jersey! This is my second solo exhibition at this venue, and my twenty-third overall. “Urgent”—which spans the perimeter of the library’s community room—features several works of image transfer, paper collage, and other mixed media.

As a mixed media artist, I enjoy working with a variety of materials, as well as combinations of them, through which I seek to transcend boundaries of creativity, dimension, and communication. Every one of my pieces becomes a unique experience, each with exciting ideas, risks, and discoveries.

“Urgent” was produced in response to the current situation of division, unrest, and conflict faced by my emerging generation, in response to which I have been compelled to draw attention to important, universal topics and issues concerning humanity. I believe that art, whether evoking a sense of comfort and peace or feelings of unease and confrontation, is a way into the soul and a vehicle through which one can ignite a spark of personal transformation that empowers each of us to connect with others on a common level.

I would like to sincerely thank the Bernardsville Public Library for once again providing me with the wonderful opportunity to share my art. Libraries have always been, and continue to be, sources of inspiration and learning, and I am delighted to be able to give back to such important cornerstones of our community. A special shoutout goes to Jenn Snider—Editor of TAPinto Somerset Hills—for her excellent and thorough article about the show, not to mention her exceptional responsiveness during our collaboration. Please feel free to check out the article via the link in my bio! I also am so very thankful for my mom, whose imagination and resourcefulness proved to be crucial to the setup of this show.

“Urgent” will be on view through Thursday, February 26. If you ever happen to be in the area and have a few minutes, please feel free to visit! 🖼️🤝🏻
