I am quite thrilled to announce that my double solo exhibition, “Urgent” and “Be Still”, is now installed at the Warren Township Library in Warren, New Jersey! This is my third solo exhibition at this venue, and my twenty-third solo exhibition overall. “Urgent”—showcased along the gallery wall—features several works of image transfer, paper collage, and other mixed media, while “Be Still”—based in the display case—comprises a series of nature photography pieces from my larger mixed media exhibition of the same name.

As a mixed media artist, I enjoy working with a variety of materials, as well as combinations of them, through which I seek to transcend boundaries of creativity, dimension, and communication. Every one of my pieces becomes a unique experience, each with exciting ideas, risks, and discoveries.

“Urgent” was produced in response to the current situation of division, unrest, and conflict faced by my emerging generation, in response to which I have been compelled to draw attention to important, universal topics and issues concerning humanity. I believe that art, whether evoking a sense of comfort and peace or feelings of unease and confrontation, is a way into the soul and a vehicle through which one can ignite a spark of personal transformation that empowers each of us to connect with others on a common level.

In “Be Still”, I strive to convey that there are so many beautiful and amazing wonders of nature that we often tend to overlook. By taking a moment to be still and become attuned to both ourselves and our surroundings, we can find our own inner peace as we observe and appreciate the world around us.

I would like to sincerely thank the Warren Township Library for once again providing me with the wonderful opportunity to share my art. Libraries have always been, and continue to be, sources of inspiration and learning, and I am delighted to be able to give back to such important cornerstones of our community.

“Urgent” and “Be Still” will be on view through Thursday, January 29. If you ever happen to be in the area and have a few minutes, please feel free to visit! 🖼️🤜🏻
