I am quite pleased—and pleasantly surprised—to announce two exciting developments regarding “3[three]: the exhibit”, the current group exhibition at Nails in the Wall Gallery at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen, New Jersey, in which I have a work on view.
The first is that my mixed media piece, “New Dawn (Strength, Faith, Hope)”, will be featured in the second annual Garden State Art Weekend, as Nails in the Wall Gallery is participating in this state-wide event sponsored by Manufacturers Village Artists in East Orange, NJ! The gallery will be open for special hours on Friday, April 25 from 4–7 pm, Saturday, April 26 from 1–5 pm (during a town-wide garage sale), and Sunday, April 27 from 11:30 am—2 pm.
The second part of this wonderful news is that the show has been extended from Friday May 2 (the original closing date) to Saturday, May 10! For a closing reception that afternoon, there will be a Mother’s Day concert featuring women composers from 3–4:30 pm, followed by the opening of the gallery to the public from 4:30–5:30 pm.
I am so glad that we as artists will gain additional exposure and recognition through these fantastic upcoming events! I am very much looking forward to us displaying our work for a little while longer! 🖼️3️⃣🗓️🙌🏻
The collective body of work was selected and curated to address the significance of 3 in our world. This includes where we see and wonder about threes and thirds, how they bear relevance across many disciplines and affect our lives, and how they can be uniquely interpreted.
As aforementioned, the exhibition is on view through Saturday, May 10.
