I am beyond blessed and grateful to have been the recipient of two special awards at the 2025 Caldwell University Honors Convocation on Wednesday, April 30! 🎊

First, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Department of Visual Art & Design for the B.F.A. in Studio Art Departmental Honor, for completing my studies with the highest GPA among the graduating seniors majoring with a B.F.A.! I also would like to take this time to congratulate my classmate Hunter on earning the B.A. in Studio Art Departmental Honor! 🎨

In addition, I graciously extend my profound gratitude to the university administration, the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell (including Sr. Kathleen Tuite), and Campus Ministry for selecting me to be the surprise recipient of the Saint Dominic Award! This Outstanding Achievement Award is given to a graduating senior who demonstrates the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, community, and service—as well as a commitment to truth, wisdom, knowledge, professional excellence, integrity, and leadership—through their way of life, values, and endeavors, as inspired by the enduring mission of St. Dominic de Guzman (who lived over 800 years ago) and the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell (who founded the university in 1939). ✝️📿

Furthermore, I am delighted to commend my many peers in all grades, including friends and acquaintances, who received a wide variety of awards that evening! I would like to especially congratulate Maddie Detore, my third cousin once removed, who received the Sr. Catherine Waters, O.P. Award for Excellence in Counseling (Clinical Mental Health Counseling)! 🙌🏻

Of course, I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to my mom and Grandma E for their continued and unwavering support of all that I’ve done at Caldwell and beyond, and for celebrating with me at Convocation. I love you both so much! 💞

It was truly wonderful to share this joyous ceremony with all of you, and your own prestigious honors were absolutely well-deserved! 👏🏻

As I reflect upon my remarkable journey as a student that led to this exciting occasion, I am filled with not only happiness and gratitude, but also an immense responsibility to continue with my endeavors and connections for which I was recognized, as well as the experience, skills, and values that I gained along the way. After all, this milestone was certainly a culmination, but not at all a conclusion. In the meantime, I very much look forward to Commencement in just under two weeks! 🎉
