I am delighted and honored to announce that I have just installed my work, as well as the work of late family friend Isabella Neufeld, at the North County Branch Library—of the Hunterdon County Library System—in Clinton, New Jersey!
This is my first solo exhibition at this library, and my twenty-first overall. It also marks the sixth showing of “Imagine”, a series of sixteen digital/photography pieces and four intaglio printmaking pieces, all sharing a common theme of imagination, creativity, and invention. Through this exhibition, I hope to inspire viewers to kindle—or rekindle—their own imagination and discover their creative spark.
Additionally, this is the seventh posthumous showing of a curated solo exhibition featuring Isabella Neufeld, née Baltazar, a self-taught watercolor and colored pastel artist. Born in Bucharest, Romania on January 5, 1948, Isabella was known by her family and close friends as a kind and gentle person with a beautiful heart. She was the type of artist who created art for no other purpose than the pure joy of the creative process. My mom and I—who acquired these nine colorful pieces by Isabella—believe that posthumously sharing her art for others to view and appreciate is a wonderful honor and tribute to her and her life. Isabella—who passed away in 2022—believed that art is a gift to be shared and enjoyed by everyone, and that even after we are gone, art lives on. She and her late husband Paul would have undoubtedly been thrilled to see her work proudly displayed in this community venue and others.
As I continue my endeavors as a mixed media artist, art writer, and emerging curator, I am truly pleased to facilitate this special dual feature—spanning two floors—that showcases both my and Isabella’s creative output. I would like to especially thank Mary Noone-Kozakiewicz of the North County Branch Library for her support in creating promitional displays to publicize our shows throughout the building.
My and Isabella’s exhibitions will be on view through Thursday, October 30. If you ever happen to be in the area, please feel free to visit! 🖼️🙏🏻💭
