It was my tremendous and profound honor to donate a framed serigraph print depicting the Adoration of the Magi, created by Italian contemporary artist Gabriela Desvaldi, to the Sisters of Christian Charity (SCC) at Malinckrodt Convent in Mendham, New Jersey on Tuesday, August 26. This special occasion was a continuation of my endeavors in sharing the gift of the Desvaldi serigraphs—which were previously gifted to me by a family friend earlier this year—to people and places that I care about and appreciate. The vintage frame for the print gifted to the SCC in particular was selected and restored especially for their beautiful Motherhouse.
I was truly touched by the Sisters’ generous invitation for me to present the serigraph to them in person during their lunch. Furthermore, I would like to thank Sr. Mary Leonard, Sr. Ann, and Sr. Mary Margaret for their hospitality throughout my and my mom’s visit, as well as their kind offer to show us around their lovely facilities after the presentation. I extend my thanks to Sr. Esther for her care and cooperation in facilitating the event.
This print by Desvaldi was gifted to the SCC in sincere appreciation of their lifelong dedication of faith and service for the greater good. I hope that the Sisters enjoy this work of art in their wonderful space.
Please feel free to watch my presentation of the Desvaldi serigraph to the Sisters! 🖼️✝️🙏🏻
