This morning, I deinstalled “Urgent: Winged Messengers” & “Art Meets Alphabet”, my dual-body solo exhibition at the Bridgewater Library in Bridgewater, New Jersey, a day earlier than scheduled. I have always enjoyed sharing my work at my local library, but this art space takeover—encompassing both the gallery wall and the two display cases—was received especially strongly by the community, and I could not be more incredibly grateful. 🔠🪽
For the “Winged Messengers” mixed media work, there were more comments in the guest book than I have ever seen for one of my exhibitions. The “Art Meets Alphabet” digital alphabet series engaged numerous children and their families as they entered and exited the lobby.
To show my art in a gallery is always a celebratory occasion, but sharing my work with the community has always been the most rewarding for me and accessible for others. Furthermore, I am deeply thankful to have had the opportunity and flexibility to host another artist talk for a group from Mt. Bethel Day Program in Warren, NJ, after doing so for my dual-body solo show, “Urgent” & “Be Still”, at the Warren Township Library back in January.
I am very much looking forward to my continued art endeavors at community venues. Also, I still have my solo exhibition, “Urgent”, at the Manville Public Library in Manville, NJ for another month! 🖼️🤝
