I am profoundly grateful to have my work featured in the Manville Arts Council (MAC) 2026 Expo at the Manville Public Library in Manville, New Jersey! My submission on view is “Red Butterfly”, a mixed media piece on canvas that is intended as a symbolic tribute to all of the strong women in my life.
Having participated in the Expo for two years previous, I am thrilled to have been accepted for the opportunity to once again share my work with the Manville community and beyond as one of the 25 featured artists! The stakes were high, with over 100 total artwork submissions, and I sincerely congratulate all my artist peers who were selected as well! It was wonderful, as always, to attend the opening reception on Friday, May 1.
This year, the MAC is celebrating the Expo’s 10th anniversary with an exhibition centered around themes of memory and reflection, to highlight how this annual group show has evolved into a platform for elevating and connecting artists from throughout the state. In accordance with this amazing cause, I truly cherished reconnecting with fellow artists as well as those on the Council, to whom I am very thankful. What’s more, there was even a live pianist who added to the jubilant atmosphere! We truly live in a small world here, and I am honored to continue to be a part of this enduring local support of the arts.
The Expo will be on view in the library’s community room, from Friday, May 1—Friday, May 29. If you ever happen to be in the area and have a few minutes, please feel free to check out everyone’s excellent work! 🖼️🎨🙌🏻
